In 2023, my husband and I went to Boca del Toro in Panama as our pre-baby arrival vacation. We borrowed bikes from the hotel we were staying at in the afternoon to ride to a nature reserve, which was supposedly very secluded. After about two hours of biking, we arrived at the gates of the park and were greeted by a guard who told us the park was closed because Survivor was being filmed and we couldn't interrupt the illusion that we were only a 15-minute drive away from a town full of restaurants and bars. All the same, the journey was the real treat.
